When it comes to a successful event, it is one thing to check all the boxes and meet all the business objectives. It is something else entirely when the event goes above and beyond all expectations.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR)' aims to help planners achieve that through its latest campaign, "Extra Millennium Mile", with its focus on offering a distinct local vibe in its meeting experiences.  

"We have observed a rising demand from MICE planners for local experiences. Moreover, as Singapore celebrates its Bicentennial this year, we are committed on delivering memorable moments for our guests as we celebrate our nation's rich tapestry of culture and heritage," said Tan Kian Seng, interim group chief executive officer of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc.    

There are two key initiatives as part of the campaign: by bringing authentic local culture into the meeting experience in each of its four Singapore hotels, as well as introducing more personalised benefits across its wider Southeast Asia portfolio.

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore's themed "Live like a local" package offers a welcome drink made from ingredients representative of multi-ethnic Singapore and traditional snacks served in hotel rooms.

With Copthorne King's Hotel's "Peranakan Passion", planners can expect Peranakan touches in the form of kebaya overlays on tables, mini kaya jars and bottled traditional buah long long (ambarella fruit) drinks to traditional nyonya kueh-making workshop helmed by the chef.

Later this year, delegates at Orchard Hotel Singapore can toast to Orchard Road's rich plantation past with a contemporary spice-based welcome cocktails in refreshed function spaces that offer botanical-inspired interiors.

M Hotel Singapore, on the other hand, will pay tribute to its iconic Robertson Quay neighbourhood, where delegates can savour Singapore's culinary past and present through a spread that starts from the 1960s and ends in some of today's modern fusion flavours.

Furthermore, all four Singapore properties and selected Southeast Asian properties will offer corporates who book for stays within the year an additional perk: two complimentary benefits of their choice. Choose from a selection of enhanced touchpoints and upgrades, including breakfast rolls on arrival, fresh smoothies for coffee break, as well as chef's selection of upgraded meal options.

The Extra Millennium Mile offer is valid for new bookings confirmed between April 1, 2019 and September 30, 2019, for stays until December 31, 2019 at participating Millennium Hotels & Resorts properties.
