With a commitment to providing meaningful and memorable experiences for meetings and events, Hyatt is taking a proactive approach to redefine the MICE landscape by integrating wellness and sustainability into its offerings.

At The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2024, Hyatt will be showcasing its MICE offerings available across the region, particularly for the six hotels that will be exhibiting at the booth. These include Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Grand Hyatt Bali, Hyatt Regency Tokyo, Hyatt Place Makassar, Grand Hyatt Seoul, and Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

Embracing wellbeing

Recognising the growing importance of wellbeing in the MICE sector, Hyatt has implemented a range of initiatives to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of event attendees. Through its Together by Hyatt event philosophy, the group aims to create environments that foster connection, rejuvenation, and personal growth through four pillars: Care + Wellbeing; Care + Sustainability; Care + Technology; and Care + Support.

In January, Hyatt unveiled its Be More Here brand platform, emphasising the transformative power of travel and encouraging guests to be present. The launch coincided with updates to the World of Hyatt loyalty programme, offering members more earning opportunities, rewards choices, and the ability to gift rewards. Hyatt prioritises guest wellbeing, continually updating and offering new experiences to foster stronger connections.

One of Hyatt's key partnerships is with Headspace, a leading provider of meditation and mindfulness resources. Guests and event attendees have access to curated mindfulness experiences through the World of Hyatt app, helping them to unwind, focus, and recharge during their stay.

Additionally, the new Hyatt Wellbeing Collective introduced earlier this year is a curated collection of over 30 hotels globally that offer dedicated wellbeing programming to fit the unique needs of guests and customers for meetings & events, with plans to expand in 2024.

Going for sustainability

As part of its MICE offerings, Hyatt provides event planners with options for hosting eco-friendly events, such as paperless meetings, sustainable catering menus, and carbon offset programmes. By partnering with local suppliers and implementing green practices, Hyatt ensures that events are not only memorable but also environmentally responsible.

Furthermore, Hyatt has made a global commitment to eliminating single-use plastics and reducing food waste across its properties, alongside innovative initiatives and partnerships with organisations such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
