First Canopy by Hilton in Asia Pacific Brings Groundbreaking Lifestyle Hotel Concept to the Emerging Metropolis of Chengdu. (Hilton)

Canopy by Hilton, Hilton's lifestyle brand, announced last week the opening of its first hotel in Asia Pacific, the Canopy by Hilton Chengdu City Centre. The property is owned by Leading Group and managed by Hilton.

There are many nifty features built into this new establishment as well. For example, digital check-in capabilities create seamless stay experiences for guests right from the get-go. Then there are the heated bathroom floors, which are perfect for wintry days in the city. There are also 150 Just-Right rooms, ranging from 50 to 100sqm.

For those looking to keep fit during their business trips, there is a fitness centre located on the 32nd floor, which overlooks the city skyline. The 24-hour fitness centre also has its very own boxing ring, the latest Technogym equipment, as well as free weights for guests to use. For guests looking for other fitness alternatives, the hotel can also connect guests to neighbourhood partners for a diverse range of experiences.

Perhaps the most attractive feature for business travellers is the Transfer Lounge, a first-of-its-kind in China, where guests with early arrivals or late departures can use comfortable facilities, including luggage lockers, a private changing cabin and showers.

"We are thrilled to introduce Canopy by Hilton to Chengdu, Hilton's first lifestyle offering of its kind in the entire Asia Pacific region. As part of China'sGo West policy, Chengdu has quickly become famed as an international centre of culture and cuisine, with unique nooks to explore, like historic alleyways transformed into destinations for art, shopping and dining," said Qian Jin, area president, Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton. "This is a testament of Hilton's commitment to maintain strong growth in China and we look forward to bringing positive hospitality experiences to more of China's travellers."
