Since its opening in 2012, The Mulia, Mulia Resorts & Villas has been one of the leading independent luxury resorts on Bali. However, more than just its popularity among holiday seekers, the hotel is now positioning itself to be a major player in the meetings and conference space as well. With the slew of facilities and venues on hand, it is easy to see the logic behind the strategy.
The Grand Ballroom is the centrepiece of the entire establishment. Depending on the setting, the Grand Ballroom can hold up to 2,055 guests. Perhaps the most stunning feature here is the curved projection screen, which spans the length the ballroom to give attendees incredible visual displays. Next is the smaller Violet Ballroom, which can hold up to 1,400 guests, ideal for retreat meetings and social events. For smaller, more intimate settings, there are 15 conference rooms to choose from, which, when combined with the Grand Ballroom, can hold up to 5,000 guests at the same time.
The Mulia, Mulia Resorts & Villas is not short on outdoor venues either. The Unity Garden is an exclusive beachfront venue that is ideal for wedding receptions and events under the stars. The 2,000sqm space can accommodate more than 1,000 guests, all with a fantastic view of the Indian Ocean and Bali's iconic Balinese Geger Temple, which is perched on a cliff off Nusa Dua bay. Eden Garden, on the other hand, is the most intimate venue of the lot, with a round-table capacity of 250 and cocktail capacity of 400. However, even though this is the smallest space, the Eden Garden is a great location for al fresco events that require the right ambience and mood to match.
But venues only make up half the equation. The Mulia, Mulia Resorts & Villas also offers up attractive packages for meeting planners. The 'Taste of Balinese Dinner' package, for example, includes a variety of international culinary delights, free flow of selected beverages for two hours, themed decorations, as well as traditional Balinese entertainment. This package requires a minimum of 100 guests. Then there are the Full Board and Half Board packages. The Full Board package includes one breakfast at The Cafe, as well as one lunch and one dinner at The Cage or Table8. The Half Board package, on the other hand, offers one breakfast at The Cafe, as well as one lunch or dinner at The Cafe or Table8. This package is valid for a minimum of 10 rooms with at least two-nights of consecutive stay on double occupancy.
