A feast for your eyes

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has introduced several new technological innovations in a bid to elevate events, meetings and social celebrations.

The Grand Ballroom, located on level one, now features three state-of-the-art panoramic LED video walls, intelligent lighting and a superior sound system capable of hosting a live orchestra, concert, or even a deejay performance.

The hotel is also the first in Southeast Asia to adopt the use of the Samsung Flip as an upgrade to traditional paper flip charts and whiteboards, augmenting the meetings experience and minimising carbon footprint at the same time.

"As a leader in hosting luxury meetings and events, we want to avail these exciting tools and product enhancements to meeting planners, so that they can leverage on our innovative meetings and events space to craft a unique, multi-sensory and immersive event experience that will leave an indelible impression on their guests," said general manager Peter Mainguy.

Panoramic LED video walls
Comprised of three modular super high definition screens with a pixel pitch of 3.9 mm, measuring a total of 23 metres by 4 metres, meeting planners can now showcase visually impactful presentations.

The centre LED screen features a smart movable design that can be brought forwards or backwards to maximise stage space, while 360-degree event footage can be captured by a ceiling mounted camera for the option of a 'live' feed.

Intelligent effects lighting system
Planners can tap on the hotel's intelligent lighting system, featuring a combination of 18 profile lights and wash lights coupled with atmospheric smoke effects, to customise their event's ambience and stage design using a variety of up to 36 colours and ten gobos.

Line source array speaker system
Superior sonic quality is now a reality with the hotel's 12 new line array speakers mounted on the left and right of the stage, plus four portable subwoofers.

Digital flip charts
Participants can illustrate their ideas in writing or through drawings on the height-adjustable and portable digital board, which can be configured to portrait or landscape orientations, and search for specific content made possible by embedded search functionalities. The discussion content can also be securely saved and exported without any hassle.
