Azamiya Minsah Kogeikan, an Okinawan company, was established over 50 years ago with the vision of fostering a unique local industry through the industrialisation of the traditional craft of Yaeyama Minsah-ori. Designated as a traditional craft by the government, the company produces and sells Yaeyama Minsah textiles, renowned for their four-box and five-box patterns symbolising everlasting love.

Located approximately 25 minutes from Ishigaki Airport, the shop and gallery offer two floors where visitors can experience weaving Yaeyama Minsah-ori textiles. Options include crafting coasters in 30 minutes or learning to create table centerpieces and tapestries as cherished souvenirs, priced at 1,500 yen (US$9.60) and 2,500 yen (US$16) per person, respectively.
