MCAC Virtual will feature an Asia buyer edition on 26 August, and a global buyer edition on 28 October.
SINGAPORE – This hosted buyer event, M&C Asia Connections (MCAC), will take place on a virtual platform this year.
Staying true to its aim to connect pre-qualified international planners with elite Asian MICE suppliers, MCAC Virtual, as it will be called, will continue to feature pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments, expert education sessions and unique networking opportunities – the key difference being that everything will now be conducted digitally.
“MCAC has always been a highlight in our planners and suppliers’ calendar, providing ample new business opportunities. This year, in view of the unprecedented times which has profoundly impacted the world, we will be taking the event to a digital platform,” said Ms Irene Chua, VP/group publisher, Asia, Northstar Travel Group.
“Digital events have the power to connect people from around the world with increased flexibility and measurable results. We believe that MCAC Virtual will mirror the successful live event in the digital space and continue to offer an invaluable experience for our participants and sponsors,” she added.
“Northstar’s digital event platform fills a big need in the market,” said Mr David Blansfield, executive VP and group publisher, Northstar Meetings Group. “Since the COVID-19 crisis began, and with the cancellation of so many industry events, planners have experienced difficulties connecting with suppliers. MCAC Virtual will be an effective, interactive way for planners to stay informed and connected with Asia suppliers and each other – and to plan for their future business.”
This year, MCAC Virtual will run as two series to shine the spotlight on Asia and global buyers. The first, MCAC Virtual (Asia), will take place on 26 August for Asia-based planners, while MCAC Virtual (Global) will be on 28 October for a worldwide planner audience.
Why participate?
Suppliers and sponsors will have the privilege to tap on Northstar’s expertise in organising events for the meetings industry. The company produces 85 successful events in 13 countries annually. Most recently, Northstar also held its third-annual Women in Leadership Meetings + Incentives on a digital platform with over 125 attendees.
In addition, MCAC Virtual features an algorithm-based matching system that intuitively makes mutual matches in order of priority to help align buyers and suppliers’ business objectives.
Ahead of the event, suppliers who participate in MCAC Virtual will also be able to access a portal showing detailed buyer information.
Sponsors will be offered plenty of opportunities to showcase their branding via video placements, destination presentations and sponsors lounge, just to name a few.
According to a poll with attendees and suppliers, MCAC 2019 saw a 98% overall event satisfaction rate.
