Singapore has entered into a multi-year collaboration to bring a series of National Basketball Association (NBA) events to the country, reinforcing Singapore’s position as a premier destination for major sporting events, supporting innovation and growth across the tourism sector.

The announcement was made by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) at a media event at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, where two-time NBA champion Chris Bosh was in attendance.

This high-profile partnership adds yet another global spotlight on Singapore, following the recent unveiling of British band Coldplay’s latest music video, "Man In The Moon", which was filmed entirely in the city-state.

The collaboration will officially launch in June 2025 with a two-week basketball and entertainment festival, featuring current and former NBA and Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) players. The lineup of stars will be revealed closer to the event.

One of the key highlights will be the NBA Rising Stars Invitational, taking place from 25-29 June 2025. This marks the league’s first-ever regional high-school basketball tournament in Asia-Pacific, bringing together promising young talents from 10 countries and territories, including Singapore.

Beyond the court, fans can expect a jam-packed schedule beyond the games, including exclusive basketball clinics led by NBA legends, meet-and-greet sessions with star players, and community outreach programmes.

The competition will take place at the Kallang Alive precinct.
