KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur has launched its Smart Trade Zone (STZ) platform, to encourage businesses to converge and harvest leads.
A dedicated area for the STZ will offer private PC stations, a smart-tech seminar area, private meeting rooms and a lounge area for business matching. Members would enjoy exclusive benefits, with the first being free usage of STZ facilities in the first six months of registration.
"We hope to connect local with international players and to encourage alliances to use the platform to create opportunities for collaborations and partnerships, enable participation in business forums or consultations, global missions and ultimately facilitate date and resource sharing, "said Mr Gunther Beissel, MITEC CEO.
Businesses who sign up for STZ membership can also use STZ's mobile app. "What users can expect with this app is to have the ease of booking meeting spaces, review one's events, generate QR codes as virtual business cards and also business matching on the upcoming e-Connect service," added Mr Beissel.
STZ has inaugurated BizLAb activities in partnership with the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) to build and nurture new SME events relating to clusters such as technology, agriculture and farming, environment and sustainability, and lifestyle and tourism.
STZ has also secured other partnerships with CEMS Sdn Bhd for the inaugural Malaysia Travel and Tourism Mart for 2020 and Best Events Sdn Bhd for the Global Drone Conference Kuala Lumpur 2020 next month.
