About 600 European travel leaders from 39 countries gathered at Phocuswright Europe from May 15 to 17 to discover perspectives that address the challenges of the European travel market. Travel innovation and tech-focused debate took the spotlight at this 11th edition of Phocuswright Europe attended by C-Level executives that made up almost half of the attendees, with tech providers and OTAs making up the rest.
Attendees also witnessed the latest Battleground and Launch competitions, where start-ups and established companies competed to win the EMEA Travel Innovator of the Year and the coveted People's Choice awards. Situm emerged the winner of the Battleground EMEA Travel Innovator of the Year Award, while the People's Choice Awards saw winners Stasher (Battleground) and Amadeus (Launch) taking to the stage.

Tech-focused debate and discussions included leadership from Winding Tree, Amadeus, Hopper, GetYourGuide and more. On Thursday, Web in Travel conducted its second "WIT Europe" program, providing an insider perspective on navigating and succeeding in the APAC market.
The Young Leaders Summit, comprised of 23 rising stars under the age of 35, met to create a community of young leadership and to receive mentorship from industry luminaries. The program is dedicated to bringing like-minded young leaders ascending at their respective companies, representing a mix of startups and global companies.
