Hyrox Bangkok last took place at QSNCC in March.
As global fitness race Hyrox accelerates its expansion across Asia, it has chosen Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) to stage its largest-ever race in the region, ‘BYD HYROX Bangkok’.
Set to take place from 13 to 16 August 2026, the event is expected to attract more than 22,000 participants from Thailand and overseas, making it the biggest Hyrox race in Asia to date.
This follows Hyrox Bangkok in March, which also took place at QSNCC, welcoming nearly 17,500 participants.
In Bangkok, the event has already expanded from three to four days.
HYROX has built a strong local ecosystem in Thailand, partnering with more than 170 gyms nationwide, including 100 in Bangkok alone.
Speaking on the choice of venue, Gary Wan, Managing Director of Hyrox Asia Pacific, said: “QSNCC is the perfect venue for such a momentous occasion. We are committed to continually elevating the HYROX experience for all our races, so being able to partner with a venue with such iconic history will help us fulfill this. QSNCC will lay the foundation for an extraordinary atmosphere come August.”
Surapol Utintu, CEO of QSNCC, commented: “The event is expected to attract participants from around the world and contribute to Thailand’s tourism and broader economy. As a venue, we are committed to serving as a platform for world-class international events – capable of hosting large-scale experiences while connecting global audiences with Thailand’s sports and lifestyle ecosystem.”
Hyrox currently operates in more than 30 countries and regions, hosting over 100 events in its 25/26 season and welcoming more than 1 million participants across five continents. Asia Pacific is one of its fastest-growing regions, with 17 events taking place across major cities this year.
“‘'BYD HYROX Bangkok' will be the biggest Hyrox race in the history of Asia, which is important not only for Bangkok, but for Asia as a whole,” said Wan.
Looking ahead, Hyrox plans to further expand across the Asia Pacific, with Thailand positioned as one of its key markets. The company aims to evolve its races into multi-day fitness experiences. Concurrently, Hyrox is expanding into new Southeast Asian markets, with upcoming launches in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Jakarta, Indonesia, alongside ongoing exploration of markets such as Vietnam and the Philippines.
In parallel, Hyrox is developing youth-focused initiatives, including ‘HYROX Youngstars’, aimed at driving participation among children aged 8 to 15 with a modified Hyrox course, to support the long-term growth of the sport.
