The Slate Phuket’s whimsical outdoor spaces beckon planners with The
Coliseum Steps, a new masterpiece of landscaping by renowned architect
and designer Bill Bensley. Positioned as a setting for alfresco events,
the venue is situated within the premises of The Slate, a member of the
Design Hotels collection.
The Coliseum Steps and Coliseum Garden present a unique canvas for
crafting special events. David Barrett, events consultant for The Slate,
said, "Coliseum Steps is a truly special venue in Phuket that ignites
the imagination and immerses guests in the wonders of nature.”
The Colisseum comprises five tiers that cascade down to a central
stage, overlooking a lotus pond. This outdoor amphitheater-style venue
provides a classical ambiance spanning over 975 sqm, up to four tables
on each tier.
From hosting gala dinners and cocktails, award evenings,
presentations to creative brainstorming or stage shows, Khun Gam, the
event organiser on the property, collaborates with clients to craft
outdoor events, from elaborate five-star dinners to casual seating on
straw bales or bean bags. Other venue features include a ground-level
stage, a fully equipped bar, Rebar lounge at the top tier, and dual
entrances through Rebar or at the garden level.
The Slate Phuket is the only hotel in Thailand to be named amongst
TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Out of the Ordinary
Hotels, a title given to only the top 1% of the eight million hotels on
the platform.
