Bangkok’s IMPACT Muang Thong Thani has reported a surge in venue
bookings for the latter half of this year, with the majority of bookings
being for incentive events and concerts.
Paul Kanjanapas, CEO of IMPACT Exhibition Management, said that
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani recorded a 10% increase in events held at the
venue, with the bulk of these bookings for conferences, seminars, and
incentive events.
“The incentives segment, in particular, has shown impressive growth,
with bookings increasing by 58% compared to the same period last year,”
he said. “Given this positive growth trajectory, the overall number of
events in 2024 is expected to grow by 14% compared to 2023, with this
year’s revenue projected to rebound to 2019 levels.”
Notable events to be held at the venue in the second half of 2024 include:
- The National Science and Technology Fair 2024 (16-25 August)
- The Environmental and Waste Management Expo 2024 (13-15 November)
- DigiTech ASEAN Thailand & AI Connect 2024 (20-22 November)
- The 41st Thailand International Motor Expo 2024 (29 November - 10 December)
In a bid to attract both the domestic and international MICE markets,
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani will be conducting roadshows at major events
in regional destinations such as China and India, as well as offering a
variety of packages including the Meeting@IMPACT package, aimed at the
local meetings and seminars market.
Renovation projects are also currently in the pipeline for the
exhibition centre to add new spaces such as the “IMPACT Common Space”, a
co-working and meeting space located in Hall 10, to allow for changing
consumer needs and preferences. IMPACT Muang Thong Thani’s food court
and retail spaces are also being renovated, and a new pedestrian bridge
linking visitors to Challenger Hall 1 is expected to be completed by
March 2025.
