Integrated sports, entertainment and lifestyle destination Singapore Sports Hub is now known as The Kallang, with operator Kallang Alive Sport Management rebranded as The Kallang Group.
The change was announced on 28 November at a launch event held at the National Stadium, officiated by the group’s chairman, Keith Magnus, and CEO, Quek Swee Kuan. More than 300 stakeholders and partners attended the event.
The complex takes in the National Stadium, Singapore Indoor Stadium, OCBC Arena, OCBC Aquatic Centre, Water Sports Centre, an outdoor water play area, tennis facilities, a mall and a museum.
Post-takeover era
The rebranding follows the Singapore government’s 2022 takeover of the venue. Since then, the precinct has recorded an increase in event days and attendance, hosting major sports events including the World Aquatics Championships and the World Para Swimming Championships. The venue also staged concerts by international artists such as Lady Gaga.
In addition to large-scale events, The Kallang has continued to host community activities such as the National School Games, Majulah Fiesta, GetActive! Singapore and ONE Countdown.
Magnus said the precinct had hosted more than 4,000 event days and welcomed over nine million visitors over the past three years.
Upcoming programming includes Countdown 2026 at The Kallang, which will feature a concert headlined by K-pop group Super Junior and a 35-minute fireworks display.
Keith Magnus, chairman, The Kallang Group, said the ambition is for The Kallang to become the “excitement epicentre of Singapore”.

The organisation said the new name draws on Kallang’s historical association with sport and national events, including its role as home to both the former and current National Stadium.
It noted that the area has long been associated with gatherings and fan traditions such as the “Kallang Roar” and “Kallang Wave” that turned “individual voices into a powerful chorus of national pride”.
The renaming is also accompanied by a new tagline, “Feel Alive”, and outlined four brand values: connection, vibrancy, excellence and leadership.
The Kallang Group said it will maintain its focus on staging sports, entertainment, lifestyle and community events as part of the wider Kallang Alive precinct development.
Infrastructure upgrades
A series of phased upgrades is planned from 2Q 2026 onwards.
Besides new waterfront alfresco dining concepts, a sheltered padel facility will also be added to The Kallang.
Marked for upgrades are the Splash-N-Surf outdoor water play area as well as the climbing and bouldering walls within the mall. While the mall revitalisation is scheduled for completion in 2028, it will remain operational during the upgrades.
