Located in the heart of the city’s CBD at 66 Flinders Lane, Collins Place, the venue offers a range of event spaces for seated or cocktail functions, including a top floor devoted exclusively to private dining, meetings and events. Full floor hire is also available.
The Flinders Floor features a street-level cocktail bar and lounge, with gilded cork wallpaper, gold accents, and a backlit Patagonia Quartzite bar. The ground floor accommodates 80 guests cocktail-style, and includes an alfresco area for intimate meet and greet drinks. Within the low-lit bar, the Sunken Lounge area accommodates up to 50 for cocktail networking.
The middle floor features a split-level dining room seating 120 guests exclusively while the upper dining level seats 60 and has a more intimate ambience, with direct access to a weather-protected terrace.
The top floor has three private dining rooms, with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. Each room seats between 10-18 guests, offers AV capabilities and the flexibility to combine two rooms for up to 20 guests, or all three rooms for up to 32. An adjacent cocktail lounge area and dedicated bar can be used for pre- or post-event receptions or cocktail functions for up to 60 guests.
Guests can choose dishes from a modern Australian menu featuring native ingredients and fresh seafood. The opening marks Blackbird’s first expansion outside of Brisbane, where it has a riverfront events centre and private dining rooms.
