Mount Faber Leisure Group (MFLG) has expanded its SkyOrb cabin fleet from seven to 20 units as it aims to further integrate the Singapore Cable Car experience into its suite of business event offerings.

Launched last year as the “world’s first spherical chrome cable car”, SkyOrb cabins feature glass bottoms and provide 360-degree views from up high.

Mount Faber pairings

“The true value lies in how we are able to pair the unique SkyOrb cabin experience with the suite of differentiated dining concepts and purpose-built event spaces on Mount Faber Peak,” said Jennifer Wong, director, commercial, MFLG.

“With rising interest from markets such as Europe, alongside strong domestic demand, we are scaling both product and platform so that corporate and incentive groups can treat Mount Faber Peak as a destination that delivers curated, memorable touchpoints,” added Wong.

The Ballroom offers a modern, glass-fronted meeting space with views of the Singapore Cable Car line, while The Angsana Glasshouse provides more privacy for board-level groups. Arbora @ Mount Faber Peak delivers a garden-style setting for incentive dinners and team-building activities. Dusk and The Mirabilis Bar @ Mount Faber Peak feature alfresco spaces with sunset views for receptions and post-conference socials.

Creative brand experiences

The SkyOrb cabins also function as moving private pods where brand storytelling, networking, and culinary experiences unfold, transforming travel time into curated event content.

Austrian beer brand Edelweiss, for example, launched its media event across Mount Faber Peak and Sentosa, transforming cabins into tasting pods that reflected its alpine heritage. Guests enjoyed Edelweiss wheat beers and light bites on board, followed by a second tasting at SkyHelix Sentosa with panoramic views.

Supporting attractions such as Wings of Time and SkyHelix Sentosa continue to extend the range of experiences, enabling planners to design incentive travel and corporate programmes that combine motion, dining, and nature.

Trade partnerships and incentives

In partnership with World Express, MFLG has built packages where groups begin with a one-hour networking session with free-flow drinks at The Mirabilis Bar or a hands-on cocktail workshop, then they board the SkyOrb Cabins with drinks in hand.

Added Wong: “Our strategy is to work with DMCs, trade partners and planners to build multi-dimensional programmes, pairing the SkyOrb cabin experience with our dining concepts and attractions such as the Singapore Cable Car, Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony and SkyHelix Sentosa, rather than providing venues or standalone experiences.”

MFLG will be developing a partner support initiative to accelerate trade adoption. Commission-based incentives for agencies and MICE planners are currently in development and will be announced once commercial terms are confirmed.
