The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre has unveiled its newly refurbished meeting space, designed with the bring-our-own-device (BYOD) culture in mind.

Paired with SmartConnect@301 – the centre’s very own dedicated solutions package that comes with a technical specialist and F&B service – the space combines sophisticated comfort with cutting-edge technology to cater to organisers seeking top-of-the-line technological advancement.

John Burke, general manager of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre said: “This refurbishment marks the latest phase in our ongoing efforts to ensure our product and solutions remain competitive and relevant to the ever-evolving needs of meeting organisers and attendees.”

The room features a smart office system, occupancy sensors, an expansive 136-inch LED screen and an 86-inch interactive screen. These in-built technologies facilitate seamless connection of multiple devices, content casting, energy conservation and paperless meetings. With SmartConnect@301, the room can be transformed for any event, meeting or gathering.

Alifhazwah Mohd. Yahaya, KLCC head of technical services explained that delegates today are more tech-savvy with a higher expectation that venues will cater to their needs. The best approach in this situation, she said, is not to offer the latest gadgets but the right solution for each event instead, promoting increased engagement and seamless connections.

The SmartConnect@301 package is now available for booking at an introductory price of RM301+ (US$63+) per person until 31 July 2024.
