Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, located at the heart of the integrated Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) precinct, is surrounded by premium hotels, a major shopping mall, and the iconic Petronas twin towers.

Overlooking a lush 20-hectare park, the convention centre provides delegates with everything within a 10-minute walk and is accessible via various transportation modes, including the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) just 45 minutes away.

Revamped spaces

The Centre recently unveiled a transformative meeting space catering to event organisers seeking a unique and technologically advanced environment; This exclusive space boasts a private balcony with stunning views of the surrounding space, and uses the SmartConnect@301 solutions package to champion a Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) culture.

This combines user-friendly and eco-conscious features – including a smart office system, occupancy sensors, an expansive 136-inch LED screen and an 86-inch interactive screen. These allow organisers to achieve seamless connection with energy conservation and paperless meetings. This fosters the collaborative spirit of modern events.

Nothing goes to waste

John Burke, general manager of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, shares that sustainable processes are paramount to the venue and its operations. The centre has been fully powered by renewable energy since 2023. Today, the venue is aiming to reduce overall power consumption by 25% since 2030.

The centre also has its own gravity-reliant rainwater harvesting system that saves up to 60,000 gallons of rainwater a year – this is used for day-to-day and post-event housekeeping works.
