Stylised as Some Sevit, Sebitseom is a group of
three artificial islands in the Han River, named Gavit, Chavit and
Solvit. Groups looking to bring their events to Seoul’s waterfront can
work with Floating Island Convention to book out the space in any one
(or even all) of these floating islands.
As the beating heart of culture and heritage in South Korea, Gavit
features an expansive convention hall on its second level, which has
played host to a multitude of events including Soundclash Korea 2014.
Next door, Chavit is especially favoured by groups seeking to host
exhibitions and cultural events.
The venue has played host to several events, including Bastille Day,
which was organised by the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (FKCCI) and the Embassy of France in South Korea, and the 2024
SWG&IWIK ESG Fashion Show, which was put together by the
International World In Korea to promote social responsibility and
environmental protection.
Most notably, the venue was the location of the Seoul Tourism Future
Vision Proclamation Ceremony, where the city mayor Oh Se-hoon unveiled
his ministry’s vision for Seoul to attract a total of 30 million
tourists by 2026.
