Kintetsu International has struck a deal with Oversee to integrate its technology partner’s reshopping capabilities into its kiSave product, enabling continuous monitoring of airfare and hotel bookings after purchase.
The system automatically identifies lower prices, better-aligned rates and policy-compliant alternatives as they become available, and rebooks when savings are found.
The solution aims to reduce corporate travel spend while maintaining the original travel experience for employees, Kintetsu stated.
The reshopping capability also replaces the need for manual price checks to allow travel managers or business travellers to respond more effectively to increasingly dynamic airline pricing and complex hotel rate structures.
The partnership comes amid heightened cost sensitivity around business travel.
“The rollout of these programmes couldn't come at a more ideal time. With ongoing economic uncertainty, we are finding many of our clients are more cost conscious than ever and are seeking products that align with their mission to secure the best pricing possible and to reduce their overall travel expenditures,” said William Sarcona, director, corporate planning at Kintetsu.
