EventsAir, an Australian events management software solutions provider welcomes substantial investment by The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm. The move comes at a time of global expansion for the company.
Riverside will support EventsAir with its international expansion plans and will continue to drive product development. It will also consider accretive M&A by targeting complementary event tech players or expanding into attractive adjacencies.
EventsAir functions manage all aspects of registration, attendee engagement, operations, housing, travel, marketing and communications before, during and after events. It has delivered more than 350,000 events across Asia Pacific, EMEA and North America.
The company’s customers include professional conference organisers, industry associations, corporations and educational institutions, such as Reed Exhibitions, the British Medical Association, Sanofi-Aventis, Telstra, California State University and the Australian Department of Defence.
EventAir’s founder Trevor Gardiner remains as an investor, making way for incoming CEO Matthew Donegan-Ryan who takes over effective April, 1 2022. Donegan-Ryan contributes deep event technology domain expertise and experience working with event planners. He was previously with Hopin, Swapcard and Cvent.

Riverside has to date invested in more than 220 companies in the IT and software sector and has a team of global experts dedicated to growing these companies.
