Cvent is rolling out 70 new product innovations across its event management platform, backed by a US$1 billion investment in technology innovations over the next three years.
Announced at Cvent CONNECT 2026 in front of nearly 5,000 attendees, the updates span event planning, marketing, attendee engagement, hospitality and post-event analytics.
"In the next decade, the organisations that rise above the rest will be those that can reimagine what AI can unlock and find the right technology partners to help them execute on that opportunity," said Reggie Aggarwal, CEO of Cvent. "That's why we're betting US$1 billion on this moment. Events are the one channel AI can't replicate. We’re doubling down to make every one of those moments more impactful, more measurable, and more valuable to your business than ever before."
The investment is centred on CventIQ, the company's AI layer first introduced in 2025, and accompanies a broader brand repositioning around The Presence Premium™, which argues that in-person experiences become more valuable as AI makes digital content increasingly abundant.
Among the technology upgrades are:
AI planning assistants
Instead of manually creating events from scratch, planners will be able to use AI to generate event websites, registration pages, agendas, email campaigns and event content. AI also helps build sessions, recommend speakers and surface planning insights based on event objectives.
Smarter attendee experiences
The platform introduces more personalised agendas, AI-powered networking recommendations, conversational event assistance and tailored content suggestions to help attendees navigate events and connect with relevant people.
Better exhibitor and sponsor management
Several enhancements focus on helping organisers manage sponsors and exhibitors more efficiently, including AI-assisted profile creation, improved lead capture, appointment scheduling and new tools to measure sponsor performance and ROI.
Marketing and analytics
New capabilities help marketers create campaigns faster, measure engagement and attribute business outcomes to events. Cvent is placing greater emphasis on proving event ROI, rather than simply reporting attendance metrics.
Hospitality and venue technology
Hotels gain AI-powered tools to respond to RFPs more quickly, improve group sales workflows and surface better business opportunities, alongside enhancements to venue sourcing and supplier collaboration.
According to Cvent, all of the new capabilities are either already available, in beta or expected to launch before the end of the year.
"Every capability we announced this week was built around two core priorities: making the tools intuitive, and prioritising customer performance and outcomes," said David Quattrone, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Cvent. “With 2,000 engineers focused on those deliverables, we're able to move fast, but with intention.”
The announcement builds on Cvent's AI strategy introduced in 2025 with CventIQ and reinforces the company's focus on enterprise event technology following a series of acquisitions in event design, appointment scheduling, lead capture and event marketing over the past two years.
