Planners may now have an easier time sourcing venues that align with their sustainability goals.
Event technology provider Cvent has partnered with BeCause, a sustainability data hub for the travel and tourism industry, to bring hotels' verified environmental data front and centre on the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN).
Through the new integration, hotels can now automatically display verified sustainability information from BeCause’s live data hub – the industry’s largest repository with over 2 million data points across 10,000 metrics – on their CSN profiles.
More than 12,000 hotels and venues are already sharing their verified data on CSN through this integration.
“Sustainability has evolved into a critical component of corporate and event strategy,” said Jahanzeeb Ahmed, chief commercial officer at BeCause. “Hotels are under pressure to collect, organise, and share sustainability data when competing for group business – a process that’s often manual. This integration enables them to automatically present verified information that planners are actively seeking, improving visibility and competitiveness.”

Looking ahead, Cvent and BeCause plan to further enhance the integration by automating how sustainability data is included in hotels’ Cvent RFPs, streamlining the sourcing process for planners and helping sales teams efficiently respond to detailed sustainability queries.
