In the age of the coronavirus which has severely impacted the meetings industry and ushered in a whole new set of best practices, the need to sharpen one’s skills and expand on their industry expertise just went from a good-to-have to a must-have.

Meetings, events and hospitality technology provider Cvent understands this, that’s why it is now rendering support to the entire industry by temporarily offering all of its Cvent Certifications and training programmes free of charge.

Typically offered only to its customers and costing up to S$2,500 for an individual to get certified and trained, the courses will now be available at no cost till 31 August, 2020.

“In early March, when the global pandemic really began to impact those in the meetings, events, and hospitality industries, we were looking for opportunities to not just give back, but provide support in a way that could facilitate an even stronger industry post-pandemic,” said Cvent CMO, Patrick Smith. “In times like these, it’s critical that we all find ways to lift each other up, support our communities, and work towards a brighter future, and we’re committed to doing exactly that.”

Industry professionals can gain access to hundreds of virtual live and pre-recorded training sessions that allow them to learn at their own pace.

Free Cvent Certifications also provide the opportunity for enhancing one’s digital expertise in order to accelerate their careers. In addition to offering the Cvent Certification exams, the company offers live virtual certification preparation sessions hosted by Cvent experts and provide complimentary access to the Cvent event management platform during the exam period.

Marketers and event planners can consider getting an Event Management Certification, Mobile Event App Certification, or even the Virtual Events Certification – the training course commenced on 8 July and certification will follow. Hoteliers and destinations, on the other hand, can think about getting certified as part of the Cvent Supplier Network or take up the soon-to-come Cvent Event Diagramming Certification.
