Texas – Sabre has announced a slew of executive leadership changes within the Travel Solutions division, these appointments completing the brand’s realignment plans to fully combine its airline and agency-focused businesses since 2018.
Speaking of the birth of their Travel Solutions division two years ago, Sean Menke, Sabre’s president and CEO said the new appointments will be “ultimately responsible for delivering the next generation of retailing, distribution and fulfilment for new and existing customers”.
Dave Shirk will continue as president of Travel Solutions, driving the company’s agency and airline-focused business segments as one.
Wade Jones is now executive vice president, chief product officer, focusing on a centralised product management and marketing organisation to help customers deliver a brand-consistent experience across all channels.
Overseeing the global product development team is executive vice president, chief technology officer, Dave Moore. His team will drive Sabre’s technology transformation.
Roshan Mendis, executive vice president, chief commercial officer will oversee all agency and airline-focused sales and account management teams, while Blair Austin has been named vice president, global business operations.
The newly formed professional services, consulting and support branch is led by executive vice president, chief services officer, Cem Tanyel, who’ll unite Sabre’s product delivery and care teams.
“This is an incredibly experienced and driven leadership team and the realignment of the organisation will make us more agile in accomplishing our strategic priorities, leveraging the hard work that has already been done over the last several years,” said Shirk, referring to Sabre’s vision to create a new market for personalised travel.
