Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has appointed Takuya Shiraishi to the role of executive director, JNTO Singapore Office. He replaces Hatsume Nagai who has been transferred to the JNTO Paris Office.

Shiraishi assumed his appointment on 11 September 2023. He said, “The Singapore market is one of the most important MICE markets for Japan. The JNTO Singapore MICE team appreciates the continuous support from the MICE planners and organisers in the region, and will continue to work closely with them.”

The MICE team has been busy with Singapore events and will be at ITB Asia 2023 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre next month to provide the latest updates on Japan MICE.

The team was also at the M&C Asia Connections 2023 in August meeting global MICE buyers at Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands.

Most recently, it hosted its JNTO Incentive Travel Business Meetings 2023 at Raffles City Convention Centre on 31 August 2023 for 22 Japanese exhibitors and 36 MICE buyers who engaged in pre-arranged business sessions for one day.
