Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral has appointed hospitality veteran Rubel Miah as its new general manager, who brings with him 15 years of experience and a track record in driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The French national began his career in sales at the Novotel Peace Beijing, before moving on to the Sofitel brand in China, and later, Vietnam. On his illustrious career list is also his tenure with the pre-opening team of the Sheraton Chongqing Hotel, followed by Bangkok's Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, in 2012. There, he led as director of sales & marketing, his caliber in pushing the hotel's probability eventually promoting Miah to the position of hotel manager, which he took on for three years.
Miah's new role in Malaysia will see him continuing the same growth and success for Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, a digitally-savvy hotel catering to global corporate and modern leisure travellers.
Apart from work, the father of two also takes time for humanitarian causes, where he first discovered the joys of helping out the less fortunate during his time as a chief boy scout while completing his master's degree. This passion remains very much alive throughout his career, including his time championing the Marriott Thailand Business Council's Corporate Social Responsibility chapter.
