Cho Sang-hyun, formerly the director of the Korea International Trade Association’s (KITA) International Trade and Commerce Research Institute, will serve a three-year term from March 2025 to March 2028.
Seoul’s leading exhibition and convention centre, Coex, has appointed Cho Sang-hyun as its 20th CEO. Cho, formerly the director of the Korea International Trade Association’s (KITA) International Trade and Commerce Research Institute, will serve a three-year term from March 2025 to March 2028.
Since joining KITA in 1990, Cho has held various leadership positions, including head of the Startup Global Support Office and Director of the International Trade and Commerce Research Institute. His expertise in global commerce and economic strategy is expected to further solidify Coex’s role as a vital platform for Korean companies looking to expand their presence internationally.
Originally from Busan, Cho holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pusan National University, a master’s in Logistics Systems Engineering from Korea Maritime & Ocean University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Pusan National University’s Department of Trade.
