Tan Mei Phing’s appointment as CEO is set to mark a new chapter for MyCEB as it strengthens its global positioning.
The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has announced the appointment of Tan Mei Phing as its new CEO, effective 21 April 2025. This milestone marks the beginning of a new era for the bureau as Tan, a seasoned professional with deep roots in Malaysia’s business events industry, officially steps into the top leadership role after serving as acting CEO since August 2024.
Tan’s appointment comes at a crucial time as MyCEB accelerates its efforts to expand Malaysia’s global footprint in the business events sector. As CEO, she will steer the bureau’s strategic direction, financial planning, and operational execution – ensuring continued growth and value for stakeholders while reinforcing Malaysia’s competitive edge in the international market.
With over 13 years of dedicated service at MyCEB, Tan brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record across key business areas including event facilitation, marketing, sales, industry development, public relations, and market intelligence. Her leadership has been pivotal in advancing Malaysia’s reputation as a leading destination for international MICE.
Prior to joining MyCEB, Tan gained hands-on experience in the events space through her work with an international DMC and later as a PCO, managing bids and executing large-scale global events. This early career foundation laid the groundwork for her success at MyCEB, where she has since played an integral role in attracting and delivering major international conferences to Malaysia.
