Kai Hattendorf joins jwc GmbH as managing partner, following his previous stint as CEO of UFI.
jwc GmbH, Germany-based consultancy for the for the exhibition and conference industry, has welcomed two new leaders at the helm.
Kai Hattendorf and Sebastian Witt, both experienced exhibition and conference executives, have been named managing partners, while company founder and current CEO Jochen Witt transitions to executive chairman and current COO, Dr. Gerd Weber, assumes the role of CEO.
This new structure will take effect from January 2026.
A well-known figure in the global business events space, Kai Hattendorf joins from his last role of 10 years as CEO of UFI, where he spearheaded numerous initiatives and projects and championed advocacy efforts. The veteran is also chair of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC), and he also collaborated with global organisations like the UNFCCC, OECD, and ISO to establish initiatives such as “Net Zero Carbon Events”.
Sebastian Witt is now managing partner at jwc GmbH.Coming from an internal promotion as former director and senior consultant at jwc GmbH, Sebastian Witt has supported governments, venues, organizers, and private equity firms by providing strategic insights and expertise. His focus areas include venue efficiency, performance monitoring, and service strategy development. Witt also chairs the Industry Partners Working Group at UFI, where he contributes to shaping industry best practices and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.
