Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) has announced its newly elected executive committee for the 2026-2028 term following the association’s 36th annual general meeting held at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre on 25 May.

Eric Ho of Pico International was elected president, succeeding M Gandhi, who led the association during the 2024-2026 term.

In his first remarks as president, Ho said the new committee would focus on strengthening policy support for the industry, developing talent pipelines, advancing sustainability standards and accelerating the adoption of technology and innovation across Malaysia’s MICE sector.

“Our task is to live that belief through our actions,” Ho said, referring to MACEOS’ long-standing positioning of business events as “a catalyst for nation building”.

“This committee will work to secure stronger policy support, grow a talent pipeline this industry can rely on, make sustainability a real and practised standard across our sector, and use technology and innovation to keep Malaysia ahead in the regional MICE arena.”

Outgoing president M Gandhi said the association had laid strong foundations over the past term and expressed confidence in the incoming leadership team.

“We have always believed that what we do goes beyond the events we organise,” Gandhi said. “The work we have done together has been purposeful, and I leave this role with full confidence that the incoming leadership will carry it forward.”

The newly elected executive committee comprises representatives from across Malaysia’s exhibition, venue, logistics and event services sectors.
