Da Nang will soon be hosting Asia’s first Pickleball World Cup, underscoring the city’s growing economic influence and its emergence as a prime stage for sporting events.

Happening from 30 August to 6 September, some 4,000 athletes from over 80 countries and territories are expected to join the sporting meet, which the government hopes will boost the local events, tourism, services and sports sector.

The tournament will be held at the Tien Son Sports Centre, Tuyen Son Sports Complex as well as other key venues citywide.

Said to the largest international pickleball tournament ever in Asia, Pickleball World Cup 2026 will feature both national and individual categories, ranging across age groups and skill levels.

The tournament will offer a total prize pool of US$500,000, alongside a special trophy which will introduced in Da Nang.

The last edition was held in Florida, United States, which saw over 3,000 participants representing more than 60 countries globally. Lima, Peru hosted the inaugural event in 2023, and again in 2024.
