Amway Korea will bring around 2700 of its top performers to Cairns in 2025, as part of a three-week incentive taking place in November and December.

Guests will travel from across the Asia-Pacific region in six waves from 17 November to 9 December with Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) estimating that the event will inject $11.68 million into the Cairns regional economy.

TTNQ chief executive officer Mark Olsen said: “This event is an incentive rewarding Amway’s top performers, with each wave of delegates doing three full days of touring and at least two offsite events as well as opportunities to explore Cairns at leisure.

He added: “As well as spending more, incentive delegates tend to stay longer, and we are confident many will extend their stay with their family to explore the Great Barrier Reef and the world’s oldest rainforest.”

Cairns’ incentive win comes on the back of a major conference win, with the destination set to host the 24th Congress of the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) in 2025. The four-day event, taking place in April at Cairns Convention Centre, will bring together global leaders in orthopaedics and is expected to attract around 1,500 delegates to share expertise and ideas.

Associate professor and APOA congress president for 2025, Marinis Pirpiris said: “I am looking forward to everyone experiencing the future of orthopaedics at the 2025 Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association Congress in breathtaking Cairns. Here, cutting edge healthcare innovations, artificial intelligence, robotics and mixed reality will come together to transform healthcare. Congress guests will have the unique opportunity to engage with pioneering technologies, connect with global experts and explore bold, new frontiers in orthopaedics.”
