Bangkok has long been a preferred hub for international business and events, thanks to its accessibility, rich infrastructure, and world-class hospitality. Recent global events have reinforced the importance of safety and preparedness in the meetings and events industry – and Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) continues to set the benchmark in both.

Safety first: QSNCC’s proven preparedness

As a leading exhibition venue located in the heart of the city, QSNCC has always prioritised safety, crisis preparedness, and service excellence at the core of its operations. This commitment was put to the test on 28 March 2025, when a 7.7-magnitude earthquake in central Myanmar sent tremors across Bangkok. Thanks to rigorous safety protocols and an experienced team, all event operations at QSNCC remained calm, orderly, and uninterrupted.

In the wake of the recent earthquake, QSNCC has been confirmed safe and fully operational after a comprehensive structural inspection.

Immediately after the tremors, a thorough structural inspection by an independent team of expert engineers confirmed that the QSNCC remains structurally sound, with no damage reported. The venue remains unaffected and fully operational, while Bangkok’s transportation networks, hotels, shopping malls, and attractions continue to operate as usual.

Moving forward with global events

QSNCC's ability to host large-scale events safely is reflected by its ongoing partnerships with major global conferences, which remain confident in holding their events at the venue.

QSNCC hosted Money20/20 Asia, one of the world’s most influential fintech conferences, for the first time in 2024. The highly anticipated show returns to the venue for its second edition this year.

One such event is Money 20/20 Asia, one of the world’s most influential fintech conferences, which is returning to QSNCC from 22-24 April 2025 after a successful debut last year. This highly anticipated event is expected to bring 4,000 C-suite executives, innovators, and regulators from over 85 countries in the digital finance world to Bangkok.

“Our inaugural Money20/20 Asia show at QSNCC last year was a great success. As we look ahead to Money20/20 Asia 2025, we have been collaborating closely with QSNCC and greatly value their ongoing support, expertise, and professionalism. Their partnership has been instrumental as we prepare for what we are confident will be another outstanding show,” said Danny Levy, managing director, Asia & ANZ, Money20/20 Asia.
