Rosewood’s first urban hotel in Japan is set to rise within the upcoming Roppongi 5-Chrome mixed-use development.
Rosewood Hotel Group is set to make its urban debut in Japan with the launch of Rosewood Tokyo.
Set to be located within the upcoming Roppongi 5-Chome development and directly connected to Roppongi Station, the hotel will become Rosewood's first city property in Japan, following the opening of Rosewood Miyakojima in 2025.
To be developed in partnership with Mori Building and Sumitomo Realty & Development, Rosewood Tokyo will occupy a central position within a large-scale mixed-use precinct comprising hospitality, residences, retail and office space.
While Rosewood has not disclosed an opening date for the hotel, the broader Roppongi 5-Chome development is currently scheduled or completion by 2030.
When complete, Rosewood Tokyo will feature approximately 200 guestrooms and suites, including three-bedroom accommodations, alongside a collection of dining and bar concepts inspired by Tokyo's culinary scene.
The property will feature a range of event venues, including a grand ballroom suitable to host international gatherings.
Facilities will include Rosewood's Manor Club, the Asaya wellness concept, an indoor pool, fitness and yoga features.
The announcement also comes amid continued global expansion for the luxury hotel group, which has upcoming openings planned in Seoul, Shenzhen, the Maldives, Napa Valley and Rome.
