The InterContinental Singapore, a 30-year fixture in Singapore’s Bugis district, will leave IHG Hotels & Resorts' portfolio on 1 January 2026.
In e-mail notices to guests, the hotel stated that existing bookings made for stays from 1 January 2026 onwards will be honoured, without further details on the property’s subsequent management.
However, affected guests who choose to retain their bookings from 1 January will forgo IHG One Rewards loyalty benefits including points accrual, late checkout, complimentary breakfast, room upgrades and food and beverage credits.
The last bookable night at the InterContinental-branded property in Bugis is 31 December 2025, with availability for subsequent dates removed from IHG booking channels.
In the notices to guests, the hotel also stated that it can assist guests with booking amendments or cancellation, including transfer to other IHG hotels in Singapore.
The imminent reflagging of InterContinental Singapore leaves IHG with one other property under its namesake brand. Apart from InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay, IHG’s portfolio also includes Holiday Inn, voco, Hotel Indigo, and Crowne Plaza branded properties in the city.
No details have been released on the Bugis hotel’s future branding or management.
