Centara Hotels & Resorts will expand its presence in Vietnam with the opening of Centara Hotel & Residences Van Don in the fourth quarter of 2026, marking the Thai hospitality group's second property in the country.

Located within the Ao Tien High-Class Port and Tourism Urban Area in Quang Ninh Province, the hotel overlooks the waters and limestone karsts of Bai Tu Long Bay, a less-developed neighbour to the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay.

Located a 15-minute drive from Van Don International Airport, the hotel will comprise 481 rooms and suites across 12 accommodation categories. Each room will feature a kitchenette, contemporary interiors and layouts designed to cater to both short and extended stays.

Meetings and events will be supported by six venues spread across three floors, anchored by the Grand Ballroom and Bayfront Ballroom.

With multiple meeting rooms for smaller gatherings, the hotel’s business event facilities have a combined capacity for 1,640 delegates.

The hotel’s dining and social spaces are also bookable for networking functions, including sunset cocktails by the pool bar.

Dining venues serve Vietnamese, Italian, Chinese and international cuisine, while facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, SPA Cenvaree, a Kids' Club, retail outlets and curated tours of Bai Tu Long Bay.
