Hilton has signed an agreement with Tradewinds Corporation Berhad to expand its flagship brand in Malaysia with the Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi, slated to open in 2024.
The 251-room resort, set to open in 2024, will be Hilton’s second property in Langkawi, joining The Nautilus Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton scheduled to debut in 2023.
The resort will be located along a 600m-long beachfront on Langkawi’s western coastline, offering views of the Straits of Malacca and overlooking the Gunung Mat Cincang, Seratosa Island, and Burau Island.
Within Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi, amenities include an executive lounge and five dining concepts including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a pool bar. There’s also a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness centre, and basketball and tennis courts.
The beachfront resort also offers an events space spanning 800sqm, and a ballroom of approximately 400sqm.
By car, travellers can reach the resort via a 15-minute drive from the Langkawi Airport or 40 minutes from the Kuah Jetty. Popular tourist attractions such as the Langkawi Cable Car & Sky Bridge, Pantai Cenang, and Kuah Town are located nearby.
When it opens, Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi will join Hilton’s portfolio of 13 existing properties across three brands, with another nine in the pipeline.
The resort marks Tradewinds Corporation Berhad’s fourth property with Hilton, following Hilton Petaling Jaya, Hilton Kuching, and the recently announced Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur.
