Business events leaders thinking of professional development but who have not had the time to do so, can now consider two leadership programmes offered by the PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association).

The executive leader fellowship targets senior corporate event leaders above VP level with over 10 years of experience and C-suite aspirations. They would have global or business responsibility, with existing practical business experience but no time for an MBA.

The small cohort programme will build on strategic capabilities like organisational leadership, negotiation, innovation, and stakeholder influence. These will be taught through real-world projects, executive coaching, and feedback from “an elite group of peers”, supervised by a “respected higher education institution” which will issue a formal certification on the programme’s completion.

Another option is the business event strategist certification, to guide industry professionals to become a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

Participants will gain access to an “elite peer network” with visibility at PCMA’s signature events, as well as post-nominal letters or title to showcase the newly received credentials as an expert in the field.

Both programmes will be available mid-March via an application process.
