eCommerce Expo | DMEXCO Asia will become a standalone exhibition in 2027, ending its six-year run as part of Tech Week Singapore as organisers look to expand the event's focus on digital commerce and marketing.

The inaugural independent edition will take place on 7-8 April, 2027, at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.

Organisers expect the event to attract more than 5,000 attendees, alongside 100 industry exhibitors and 150 expert speakers from across the global digital commerce ecosystem.

The event will continue to target senior decision-makers across marketing, digital and commerce functions, with organisers placing greater emphasis on curated networking and business matching.

The exhibition is jointly organised by UK-based event organiser CloserStill Media and German trade fair organiser Koelnmesse.

It combines the eCommerce Expo brand, which has established editions in the UK, with DMEXCO, Koelnmesse's flagship digital marketing and technology exhibition held annually in Cologne.

The Singapore edition will be the first under this new format, which organisers say will “enable a more focused, curated experience designed to better serve the needs of today's digital-first businesses”.

The move also reflects the event's growth and the increasing convergence of marketing, eCommerce and digital technology across Asia-Pacific, according to Courtney Macdonald, event director, CloserStill Media.

The 2027 edition will focus on cross-border commerce, artificial intelligence, customer intelligence and data-driven marketing, bringing together retailers, brands, marketplaces, technology providers and marketing professionals.

Prakash Ramajillu, GM at Koelnmesse, added that the new format reflects the organisers' commitment to expanding their presence in Asia and creating a dedicated platform for marketing and commerce professionals.

“With this new independent platform alongside eCommerce Expo Asia, we are doubling down on the Asian market creating a space where marketing and commerce leaders can connect, share proven strategies, and build the cross-border ecosystems that will define the next decade of digital growth,” he said.
