IHG Hotels & Resorts and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have announced a new partnership aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Asia-Pacific through enhanced business travel solutions.

The collaboration brings together IHG’s Business Edge and SIA’s HighFlyer programmes – both tailored to meet the travel requirements of SMEs, which make up around 90% of businesses globally.

Starting from 1 May 2025, SIA HighFlyer members who sign up for IHG Business Edge will receive a complimentary Gold Elite upgrade in the IHG One Rewards programme following their first qualifying stay. The Gold Elite tier includes access to benefits such as guaranteed discounts, flexible cancellations, late check-out, and exclusive partner offers across IHG’s portfolio.

Vivek Bhalla, managing director, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “Working with globally renowned partners such as Singapore Airlines is an important part of continuously developing our offer and providing more value across a range of travel segments.

“These strategic partnerships enable us to reach a wider group of travellers, create differentiated experiences and ensure IHG and our brands stand out as the preferred choice. We are delighted to be working alongside Singapore Airlines to support the growing number of SMEs across the region to achieve their business goals and ambitions.”

IHG Business Edge, launched in 2018, offers SMEs a tailored hotel booking solution with a single portal for reservations, loyalty upgrades, and corporate discounts. SIA’s HighFlyer programme provides SMEs with preferential airfares and the ability to earn points on business travel, which can be redeemed for travel rewards or used to offset future bookings.

This follows IHG’s recent 12-month partnership with Virgin Australia.
