In 2018, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and Bangkok Airways launched the 'Fly and Meet Double Bonus' campaign to attract MICE travellers from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam to Thailand - and it was a major success. MICE travellers from these four countries to Thailand increased by 206% as a result.
As such, for 2019, TCEB and Bangkok Airways are doing it again, this time lowering the minimum number of people to just 30. This move will benefit even more organisations in the four countries when they plan corporate meetings and incentives to Thailand.
Nooch Homrossukhon, director of meetings and incentives department, TCEB, said, "The four countries are rated among the fastest growing MICE markets for Thailand. The business landscape in these markets remains very dynamic, with the growing economy, investment and enterprises."
Varong Israsena Na Ayudhya, Bangkok Airways' vice president - Sales, commented, "We are delighted to be an exclusive airline partner of TCEB for the 'Fly and Meet Double Bonus - Redefined' campaign for the second year running. The positive feedback we received last year reflected the tremendous potential traffic in meeting and incentive sectors from the four markets."
Benefits for the 2019 'Fly and Meet Double Bonus - Redefined' campaign include financial support, fast-track immigration service at Suvarnabhumi airport, cultural performances, meet-and-greet services, one free ticket of every 30 tickets purchased, pre-assign group seating, priority boarding and extra baggage allowances. To qualify, each group must comprise at least 30 people, fly to Thailand on Bangkok Airways, stay for at least two nights, or hold an event at a venue recognised by the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) or a registered hotel.
Application is open now until August 30, 2019, with travel completed by September 30, 2019.
