Changi Airport Group (CAG) has commenced redevelopment works at Singapore Changi Airport to transform the former Commercially Important Persons (CIP) terminal site into a new private terminal and expanded lifestyle hub, with completion targeted for mid-2027.

Located at the southern node of Terminal 2, the project will introduce an upgraded premium travel facility alongside an enlarged Hub & Spoke amenities cluster, positioning the area as a combined aviation, lifestyle and wellness destination.

The new private terminal will be jointly operated by CAG and Plaza Premium Group. Designed to deliver a fully personalised airport journey, the facility will feature a deluxe lounge, bar, private suites and bespoke dining, alongside a dedicated high-end event space for larger groups and private gatherings.

Passengers will also benefit from streamlined transfers to boarding gates and direct access to Changi’s retail offerings.

CAG said the development responds to growing demand among premium travellers for more tailored, end-to-end airport experiences that extend beyond traditional lounge access.

Alongside the terminal upgrade, the Hub & Spoke cluster will be expanded with new dining concepts, wellness offerings and pet-friendly facilities catering to both travellers and the public.

The development will also introduce Changi’s first covered amphitheatre and an open-air plaza ready to host community and mid-scale events.

The project’s location near Terminal 2 and the upcoming Hotel Indigo Changi Airport is expected to further strengthen the precinct’s positioning as a multi-functional hub.
