Queen Sirikit National Convention Center has opened a retail space dedicated to contemporary Thai products as it prepares to host the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings from 12 to 18 October.

QSNCC described the latest addition to its retail zone as a “key piece adding a distinctive Thai dimension”.

Named Sarapad Thai, the store’s “etc. Thainess” concept reimagines familiar Thai materials, motifs and everyday objects in contemporary forms. Its range includes work inspired by Benjarong ceramics, Mudmee textiles, basket weaving and Bangkok landmarks, alongside products made with recycled paper and bamboo.

QSNCC chief executive Surapol Utintu said the convention centre wanted overseas visitors with limited time to encounter Thai art, culture and food without leaving the venue. The IMF-World Bank meetings, he said, would give international delegates another way to discover the country’s character through the centre.

Thiranant Kornsritipa, first EVP for retail business development at Frasers Property Thailand, said QSNCC was selected because it serves Thai and international visitors across a wide range of ages and lifestyles. Some products were developed or selected exclusively for the convention-centre branch.

The merchandise includes scarves, tote bags, tumblers, notebooks and coffee cups featuring interpretations of tuk-tuks, the Giant Swing, the BTS, the Garuda, Wat Phra Kaew and the QSNCC building. Other pieces draw on traditional weaving, textiles and craft techniques.

Sarapad Thai is located on Level G near the Business Center and is open daily from 10am to 8pm.
