GreenTree Hotel Johor Bahru has opened in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, with 206 rooms and suites and a ballroom accommodating up to 700 delegates in a theatre layout. The property marks the brand’s debut in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
The Canopy Grand Ballroom seats up to 500 guests for banquets or 700 guests in theatre style, while five meeting rooms and a boardroom provide options for smaller gatherings and breakout sessions.
The hotel connects to the Johor–Singapore Causeway via the Eastern Dispersal Link and serves Johor Bahru’s commercial and industrial districts. This positions it as an option for corporate groups with business on either side of the border.
Senai International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away. A business lounge and Bough Café on Level 7 complement the meeting facilities, while leisure amenities include a rooftop infinity pool, gym and spa.
Developed and owned by Malpakat Group, the property operates with Holiday Villa Hotels & Resorts as GreenTree’s appointed Malaysian licensee. Its opening follows the joint venture partnership established between Holiday Villa and GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group in 2022.
GreenTree has identified Kuala Lumpur as its next destination, but has not announced an opening timeline.
