Floating canapes, fantastical light-up dinners and other culinary novelties took centre stage at Marina Bay Sands' (MBS) Autumn Showcase this week.
As appetite for offbeat event experiences continues to grow, MBS is presenting planners with new and creative ways to feed and fascinate attendees.
Cloud Canapés
Filling the air with whimsy, Cloud Canapés invites attendees to reach for canapés hanging from a “cloud” of helium balloons. Not only does this allow food to double as decoration, it also loosens corporate attendees up, creating the ideal conditions for mingling and networking.
For planners looking for other creative forms of food service, MBS also offers a conveyor belt for small plates – a statement piece whether in a foyer, exhibition hall, or ballroom.
‘In-ear' sommelier
Wine pairing sessions with headphones bring private sommelier experiences to groups.Headphones may not belong on the conventional dining table, but they can elevate the dining experience for groups. Planners may opt for a sommelier to address groups through headphones. While sommelier service is typically better suited to intimate dining settings, planners can now simulate the one-on-one wine experience for larger groups, uninterrupted by the hubbub of event activities in the background.
Fantastical dinners
Ever wondered what it is like to dine in an enchanted bioluminescent forest? With advanced lighting technology and programming capabilities, fantasy can become reality for event attendees. Fully equipped for custom lighting design, MBS' hybrid broadcast studio transforms into an experiential private dining venue for up to 10 banquet tables, immersing diners in fantastical dreamscapes.
