Global meetings and events industry trade show organiser, IBTM, will
be launching its Asia Pacific event in Singapore from 6-7 September
2022, running parallel with the inaugural Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) X
IBTM APAC, in partnership with Singapore Association of Convention &
Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS).
Held at the Marina Bay Sands, IBTM Asia Pacific is the sister event
to IBTM World — recently concluded with more than 7,000 attendees in
three days —and IBTM Americas.
The
theme for IBTM Asia Pacific in 2022 is ‘Make Every Connection Count’,
where the event is expected to welcome international buyers and sellers
from more than 40 countries.
Running concurrently is the SMF X IBTM APAC on Monday, 5 September,
where the forum will deliver a marketing-leading programme of content to
ensure delegates have the insights they need to deliver show stopping
events.
Richard Ireland, Acting President, SACEOS said: “The Covid-19
pandemic has made it abundantly clear that there is no better channel to
do business, collaborate and educate than in person events. And the
region’s MICE industry has been longing for the opportunity to be able
to come together and reconnect with high quality suppliers,
destinations, venues and buyers.
"The SMF x IBTM Asia Pacific will not only provide a safe and
powerful platform to do so, but it will also showcase the region’s
commitment and readiness towards the reopening of MICE travel and
events.”
Poh Chi Chuan, Executive Director, Exhibitions & Conferences,
Singapore Tourism Board (STB) added, "As the global MICE industry gears
up for recovery, this event will serve as a critical platform for the
industry to network, learn and form partnerships".
