Long-time travel industry professionals Michael Lynden-Bell and Dominik Schaufler have come together to launch "the first virtual destination management company in Asia Pacific".

"We have been working on this project for the past 2.5 years, during that time we have established a comprehensive network of suppliers across our 12 countries, loaded thousands of products into the platform, and, recruited and trained our team of in-destination experts," said Lynden-Bell, who counts experience with Hotelbeds, GTA and Exo Travel.

Designed for travel agents, wholesalers, and retailers globally, Vio Travel offers a central travel booking system connecting users to more than 1,500 directly contracted tour options, and over 400 tour and transfer suppliers. The DMC has offices in Bangkok, Sydney, and Hong Kong.

The platform integrates a first-class software application and booking engine technology to make itinerary management simple. Users can easily create unique packages by combining different suppliers into one itinerary through the intuitive interface. Bookings can be amended, managed, and cancelled through the account portal.

Schaufler, who previously worked with DMCs including Go Vacation Thailand, ICS Travel Group and Exo Travel, said: “We have developed Vio Travel through an agile product sourcing model and real-time access to the best rates, which means cheaper prices for the customer and greater margins for agents”.

In addition, Vio Travel’s white label formatting allows agents to forward proposals to clients directly from the platform, branded with the travel agency’s logo. The DMC also offers 24/7 customer support to assist with any request or concern throughout the entire sale process.

“We see this as a crucial offering as the travel industry emerges from a devastating few years, and while consumer confidence slowly rebuilds”, added Lynden-Bell.

“Beyond that, if an itinerary becomes too complex or the agent needs help or advice, Vio Travel can assist to draft itineraries. Within a short time, our partner agent will receive a proposal made by the Vio Travel Team, which can be fine-tuned further or straight confirmed to book.”

The DMC has already started welcoming guests to destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
