Art gallery experience featured at a previous edition of Siggraph Asia in Tokyo.
Tokyo has been selected to host Siggraph Asia 2027, a major computer graphics and interactive technology conference and exhibition, the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau announced.
Set to take place at the Tokyo International Forum from 30 November to 3 December, 2027, the event is expected to draw 10,000 participants, including 2,400 from overseas.
Organised by ACM Siggraph, the event brings together researchers, artists, developers and industry professionals to explore developments in computer graphics and interactive technologies through industry programmes, academic research and technical presentations. Its scope spans fields including animation, gaming, immersive technologies and digital art.
The event will mark Siggraph Asia’s return to Tokyo after previous editions in the city in 2018, 2021 and 2024.
Tokyo was selected to host Siggraph Asia 2027 for its infrastructure, international conferences and exhibitions track record, as well as its position as a hub for innovation and technology in Asia.
The bid was also supported by in-kind and financial support from the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for 1-4 December at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia.
