Tokyo's MoN Takanawa offers new backdrop for events

From the 1,500sqm Box1500 to a full-LED theatre, this Tokyo cultural hub has serious event credentials.

Box1000 features LED lighting on the entire stage, and capacity for up to 1,048 guests seated and 2,000 standing.

MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives opened at Takanawa Gateway City in March this year, unlocking a fresh range of alternative venues for business events in Tokyo.

Designed by Kengo Kuma and directly connected to Takanawa Gateway Station – just one stop from Shinagawa – the experiential cultural hub caters well to companies looking to shake up the standard business events backdrops without sacrificing convenience.

Four spaces are available for corporate bookings, ranging from the flagship Box1500 (1,500sqm), a vast exhibition hall suited to large-scale installations and plenary events; to Box1000 (1,000sqm), a full-LED theatre seating up to 1,048 or 2,000 standing.

Additionally, the Box300 (300sqm), a flexible, wall-retractable space opens onto the foyer for receptions; while the 200sqm Tatami space adds a uniquely Japanese dimension, blending traditional culture with technology for incentive and cultural programming.

Bookings for arts programming take priority, so event planners may wish to make advance enquiries.
